i dont like fancy airplane safety videos a lot bc i dont think theyre friendly to ppl first time riding. like my grandma wouldnt have a single idea whats going on if the actors arent somewhere that actually looks like a plane

it can grab ppls attention but i imagine first time riders would be paying heavy attention to safety instructions anyways. even i still pay attention and read the safety booklet every time. the only ppl who wouldnt pay attention would be really frequent flyers who prolly knows it all by heart anyways

thinking about the time i commented on a commentary video with a speedpaint in the background where a character is holding up the V hand shape and that big V hand was the wrong way, like it was a left hand on a right arm (or the other way around i dont remember). so i commented that the hand was wrong and the author was like 'i already have people who told me that, do you know that artists dont like being told the same thing over and over, also its just a minor error' something like that

like um i dont know you were informed of it already, im not supposed to read your mind. you couldve said something like 'i know the hand was wrong but its too late to fix that!' in the description or pinned comment; there werent many other comments under that video anyways, so it also raises the question of, were they informed of this before or after the video released right

second, a right/left hand error is something that only might arise when youre drawing from your brain! if you used a *single* reference, that problem is completely avoidable! i dont use many references myself, should fix that i know, but when it comes to hands in fancy positions i always use refs bc i know i might screw up.

also 'minor error' the hand was the central focus of the piece. they spent a lot of time drawing the hand its just not excuseable...

also speaks to how fucked i am for remembering this small thing from. years ago

i think a lot of misunderstandings could be cleared up if ppl understand that slogans arent meant to be nuanced. theyre short phrases that encapsulate a lot of statements that cound be made. thats like the whole point of a slogan; its supposed to be short and memorable. tho it does render slogans useless sometimes as 2 ppl who say the same slogan might mean different things by that, theres no point in getting mad at a slogan bc the meaning isnt clear and specific enough. like 3-4 words cannot express as much meaning as a book can and you cant expect it to
